Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist who currently competing within the UFC flyweight division. Valentina is her younger sister, as well as a fellow UFC competitors. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started as an Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007 and an award of bronze in 2008, and a gold medal gold in the year 2011. Then she was named IFMA World Amateur Muay Thai Champion 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. In 2012, she took home her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina's final fight was with Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was victorious by an unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko broke her professional MMA record in 2002 during the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She took the win via second-round TKO and also won her subsequent 2 fights in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003 to amass the record of 3-1. Shevchenko took a hiatus to pursue kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui by a unanimous decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by a unanimous decision. She quit the promotion and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko wrestled Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina defeated Nievera by her impressive striking ability at the end of the fight through knees to the body. Following this victory Antonina was given a UFC contract. Antonina Shychenko debuted for the UFC in the TUF Heavy Hitters finals, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous decision, but lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi on an undisputed split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss and beat Lucie Pudddilova at UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submissions in the 2nd round. The fight was awarded Antonina the Fight of the Night bonus. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn and Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She won over Ariane Lipski but she was also defeated by Ariane. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
