First person to live broadcast from the floors of the New York Stock Exchange Maria Bartiromo is a renowned American television journalist who has numerous highly acclaimed shows under her belt. An experienced broadcaster who has more than two decades' experience writing about business and economy, she was instrumental in making CNBC become one of television's leading channels in economics and business. Her incredibly successful career as a journalist makes one believe that the female was always destined to work in this field. Maria when she was young wasn't sure about her choice of career. At one point she wanted to be a singer one day she would want to be an interior designer. But when she discovered the excitement that journalism has to offer there was no looking to go back. She is not only a great journalist however she serves as an inspiration for women who are looking for a job in a field that is dominated by males. Hers was the first journalist of female gender to be recognized among the 50 Faces who Shaped in the Decade. Along with being a columnist and author, Sheila is also one of the 50 faces that shaped The Decade.
Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn has been an American actress for film, TV and on stage since the latter part of 1970. She's been a professional actor for the past 27 years. She started her professional career in 1990, in a non Broadway production called The Big Funk, by John Patrick Shanley. Then, in The Perfect Tribute, she made her TV debut a year later. The big break for her career was in 1992, as she was a character in the film Basic Instinct. The Firm marked her first role as a female leading actress, opposite Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. The 1990s saw her professional career included working alongside top Hollywood stars such as Gwyneth as in Sliding doors Hugh Grant Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews Relative Values. Recenty, she played Dr Alex Blake (a police procedural-crime drama) in Criminal Minds.
